Challenges to be met at Container Port Terminals
2010.01.02The permanent increase of world trade along major sea routes puts an enormous pressure on container ports as well as on the continental transport systems behind.
If we want to keep the global container transport network working, no effort must be spared to keep pace in terms of capacity, although parts of the system, getting bigger and bigger, have already reached their physical and spatial limits.
To overcome the existing limits, innovative technology and control must be further developed and implemented in order to improve the productivity of resources and processes.
