Our team recently had undertaken and completed one of most extensive retrofit & integration for Level Luffing Jib cranes for one of the Shipyard owners for fitting to its existing rails of 10.5m and 12m respectively with the latest advanced cranes technology.

The project featured upgrading of rail span from 17.1m into 12m, and also from 9m into 10.5m, and including several key solutions for installation the latest mechanical driving system, the electric control system, the safety monitoring system, till finally commissioning.

We’re very proud that one of best team been deployed in such complicated project, and our new cranes system will help the owner to benefit operating a more efficient safer modern yard, and enhance its quays & docks to accommodate the latest generation of ultra-large vessels & platforms for both new building and maintenance.

Below are the new LLC Jib cranes updated performances:

S.W.L: Main hoist 40T@28m to 80m, and Aux. hoist 5T@31m to 85m

Lifting height: from -8m below rail to +52m above rail.

Working speed:

Main hoist: 1 – 8 m/min

Aux. hoist: 2 – 25 m/min

Boom luffing: 1 – 12 m/min

Boom slewing: 0.3 r.p.m

Gantry long travel: 3 – 30 /min

Clearance height under portal frame: 6m
