Philippine-owned International Container Terminal Services, Inc (ICTSI) held an Open House on March 2011 to celebrate the start of its operations of the Port of Portland's Terminal 6.

In May 2010, ICTSI signed a 25-year lease with the Port of Portland for operation of the container/ breakbulk facility at Terminal 6. The Port of Portland is ICTSI's first venture in the US and said to be the largest financial transaction in the history of the city's maritime port.  Terminal 6 is a 78-hectare facility at the Port's Rivergate Industrial District.
