Freight and container volume at Vanino Port have decreased slightly, according to local media reports.

Freight volume handled by JSC Vanino Port from January to October 2010, totalled 5,140,200 cargo tonnes, -0.1% down from the same period last year.

October's throughput amounts for the port decreased 16.6% to 500,100 tonnes, while container traffic was at 10,759 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).

From January to October 2010, the company handled 1,185 vessels, including 591 ferries and 58 200 railway cars.
