The Hoang Long Joint Operating Co. has secured the jackup Maersk Convincer to drill the Te Giac Den 2 X appraisal well in block 16-1 in the Cuu Long basin off southern Vietnam.

The rig, owned by Maersk Drilling, should spud the well in early June, according to Hoang Long partner, SOCO International.
